Situated at the very edge of Nordø, the 60-meter-high circular building establishes a distinctive new landmark at the entrance to Copenhagen’s Nordhavn. The project was developed for PFA Ejendomme and designed in close collaboration between Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter and Cobe, with engineering by Rambøll.
The jury highlighted the project for its spatial generosity and strong integration of architecture and public realm.
At the building’s core, a publicly accessible Winter Garden provides a calm, green space for daily life and informal meetings. The surrounding landscape terraces extend the urban space right up to the water’s edge, creating an open and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and the general public alike.
Since 1903, the City of Copenhagen has honored architects and developers behind particularly remarkable architecture. The municipality recognizes projects that enhance the city's physical environment and demonstrate how good architecture creates value for city life.
We extend our sincere thanks to the City of Copenhagen for this recognition—and to our client, collaborators, and project partners for the trust and commitment that made The Tip possible.
