‍

(The big picture)
I lovecities, and how buildings from different ages with layers of history cometogether to form specific urban experiences. My focus as an architect is in the quality of buildings from concept to detail. I have a specific passion for materials and tectonics, how the built environment is created from component detail to urban fabric, and how people live and create social connections incities.

(Hands on)
Having worked with homes and institutions for many years, I joined Third Nature because I am interested in how the built environment, nature and people interact. I focus on concept and design development and execution, all the way from the early sketch and to the finished project on site. Urbanism is a team sport, and  I value the dialogue with clients and end users, to enrich the project I work on.

‍

(Experience and education)
I hold a masters degree in architecture from the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, and has further completed studies in creative leadership. Before joining Third Nature have worked with mainly residential architecture with some of the most renowned architectural firms in Denmark, acting as competition and project leader for several built projects in Copenhagen.

‍

(The Big Picture)
Our building culture is changing. A lack of affordable housing, social change, and new environmental and climate requirements are increasingly influencing the way we work with architecture. The transformation of existing building stock, new ways of living, materials, and contextual approaches are some of the developments I find particularly interesting in considering the future of architecture.

‍

(Hands On)
I am particularly interested in the relationship between place, materials, and building culture, and in how these elements can shape architecture. I am also interested in how architecture can create spaces for communities and encounters – both within a project and in relation to its surroundings.

‍

(Experience & Education)
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy and have previously interned at Schauman & Nordgren. Through my studies and projects, I have worked across different scales and typologies, from pavilions to urban planning. My work with Hele Landet on Dreyers Kollegie has also given me insight into how architecture can contribute to creating new communities and involving users and the public in the development of a project.

‍

(The Big Picture)
I believe that excellence in landscape architecture emerges when strong visions meet careful execution. My approach embraces the rich complexity of biological processes and explores new growth potential within urban environments. ‍

‍(The Big Picture)

I work with a focus on care toward existing structures and living elements. Resource awareness, biodiversity, and climate are therefore integrated premises in my professional toolkit. Attention to reuse, the inherent qualities of materials, and slow processes is not merely a matter of sustainability, but of creating more robust, sensory, and meaningful places. The goal is to develop architectural interventions that foster awareness around the relationship between human, place, and ecology, pointing toward more caring and resilient ways of building and inhabiting spaces.

(Hands On)

I don’t work from pre-determined solutions, but view curiosity and not-knowing as active drivers in valuable and creative development. I investigate through dialogue - with the place, the materials, the surroundings, and the people who use them. Co-creation is therefore a core principle in my practice, where knowledge emerges collectively, and the specific solution is developed for unique sites, contexts and purposes.

(Experience & Education)

I hold a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Copenhagen.
Nature has always been the foundation of my professionalism, and with extensive plant knowledge and a thorough understanding of landscape dynamics, I aim at solutions that create value for nature, the climate, and people all together. ‍

(Experience & Education)
Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise at leading architecture firms as well as through my own practice. This blend of collaborative and independent experience has sharpened my ability to balance bold vision with practical execution, delivering designs that resonate at every scale.

‍

(The Big Picture)
Architecture is fundamentally a social act,  a collaborative discipline where aesthetics, program, budget, scale, timeline, and environmental impact must converge into something coherent and lasting. The best outcomes rarely follow a straight line, and that's the point. When the process is shared and the purpose is clear, even the unexpected becomes an asset.

‍

(Hands On)
I joined Third Nature to work at the intersection of big ideas and built reality, on projects where conceptual ambition meets the scale of the challenges we actually face. With a background rooted in early-stage design and long-range problem solving, I'm drawn to the questions that matter most: how do cities adapt, how do communities become more resilient, and what does a healthier relationship between people and planet actually look like in practice? Third Nature already holds deep expertise in transformational climate adaptation, and I bring a generalist's curiosity and a designer's rigor to help unlock that knowledge toward bolder, more integrated solutions.

‍

(Experience & Education)
Raised in the United States and educated at the University of Oregon, I've spent nearly my entire adult life in Denmark, shaped equally by the vast, humbling scale of American wilderness and the deliberate, human-centered urbanism of Europe. Both teach the same lesson on different terms: environments evolve slowly, until they don't. Accelerating climate change is undeniably urgent, but it also opens a rare window, a chance to pause, reassess, and design a fundamentally new relationship between civilization and the living world.

‍

(The Big Picture)
Architecture has both the ability and the responsibility torespond to societal challenges. I am motivated by exploring how architecturecan foster a symbiotic relationship between people, nature, and society.

‍

(Hands On)
I enjoy working across different scales and tasks, contributing tovisual storytelling, spatial experimentation, and the development ofsustainable architectural ideas.
